Euro Hockey League (EHL) kicks off Final4 campaign

Starting next week, the EHL will begin its FINAL4 social media campaign along with ticket promotions and PR. Additionally, for the first time, a unique logo will be introduced for the EHL FINAL4 weekend in Barcelona.

The highlight of the season, the EHL FINAL4 takes place on May 14 and 15 in Barcelona where Germany’s Harvestehuder THC, Dutch clubs AH&BC Amsterdam and SV Kampong and Spanish local favourites Atlètic Terrassa will be contending for the most prestigious trophy in club hockey.

It will be the first time the finals weekend arrives in Barcelona in its already rich nine-year history; to mark this moment, the EHL is launching a specially designed EHL FINAL4 logo for Barcelona 2016.

Matching the prestige of this elite tournament, the logo incorporates one of the most iconic features of the city of Barcelona, Gaudi’s stunning mosaic.

With all the action taking place in the heart of the city, the FINAL4 promises to be a hockey weekend for the ages.

Speaking about the event, EHL chairman Hans Erik Tuijt said: “This FINAL4 weekend in Barcelona is going to set the standard of what the future holds for the EHL. A unique identity has been created for the event that fits perfectly with the prestige and grandeur of the host city Barcelona and the EHL FINAL4 weekend.

"In Amsterdam for the KO16, we stepped up our online digital presence with over 3.5 million minutes of the EHL watched online. We know that hockey fans crave the level of action of the EHL and we are looking forward to some competitive and exciting games at the FINAL4 which will also see a similar online reaction.

“This is on top of our increased media presence with the EHL now broadcast in more than 70 countries.”

Furthermore, in co-operation with clubs and players, the EHL will be firing on all cylinders to surpass the social media reach and engagement from the EHL KO16 and KO8 in Amsterdam.
